Clinical trial participation is voluntary throughout the entire trial. If you do enroll in a clinical trial, you have the right to leave at any time for any reason. If you do decide to leave a clinical trial, there are some steps you should take for your safety and for the research team.

Biotrial: If you decide to leave, you should let the research team know, explain your reasons for leaving the trial if you wish, and undergo a medical exam to ensure your safety

Cancer Council NSW: If you leave a trial, you will receive standard of care treatment

Washington University: Talking to the research team if you decide to leave a trial is important so they can help you safely stop taking the study medication and so you can let them know if they can still use your health data
