Lobular Breast Cancer Metastasis: Highlighting the Researchers - Metastatic Breast Cancer Trial Talk

From the Experts

In our five-part series, we are highlighting researchers and physicians that study and treat breast cancer that has spread to common sites: brain, bones, liver, and lungs, as well as common sites of lobular breast cancer metastasis. We previously showcased brain metastasis, bone metastasis, liver metastasis, and lung metastasis.

This month, hear from researchers on the latest metastatic lobular breast cancer research. Lobular breast cancer tends to spread differently than ductal breast cancer, which is the most common type of breast cancer. Similar to ductal breast cancer, lobular breast cancer can spread to the bones, lungs, brain, and liver. However, lobular breast cancer also tends to spread to the ovaries, gastrointestinal organs, and tissues surrounding the abdomen.
