Clinical trial participation can be difficult if you need to travel, find child or elder care, or require financial assistance. In the first of a two-part series, we highlight how trial decentralization makes clinical trial participation easier.
Decentralization, also known as decentralized trials, is a way to bring the trial to the patient. This means that trial participants can have tests or procedures performed at their local clinic rather than having to travel to the clinical trial site for every appointment. Telemedicine, wearable devices, and apps are also used as ways to help with trial decentralization.
