Lobular Metastatic Breast Cancer - Metastatic Breast Cancer Trial Talk

From the Experts

Lobular breast cancer is breast cancer that starts in the lobes where milk is made, and makes up about 10-15% of invasive breast cancer diagnoses. It is more difficult to detect and treat, and often metastasizes (spreads) to different organs than other breast cancers. Metastatic lobular breast cancer is currently treated the same way as other breast cancers. However, scientific research is showing how this cancer differs from the more common breast cancer (ductal) and that more clinical trials are needed for lobular breast cancer.
